Carolyn Clark
Yoga Instructor
Carolyn (‘Caro’) is a long-time student of Hatha Yoga, Integrative Nutrition, Developmental Psychology and Dance, and holds an advanced Instructors certification with YogaWorks in NYC. Through Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Caro incorporates a deep physical practice into an inspirational class that highlights the benefits of awareness and the process of yoga —coming into, maintaining, and moving out of a pose on the breath—over the goals of simply ‘perfecting’ a pose. Classes are founded upon graceful and continual movement that generates a natural warmth and release in the body, strengthened and deepened through advanced breathing techniques and pranayama.
Through her early work in nonprofits and international welfare service, Caro grew a deep respect for the role of personal boundaries in daily life—to acknowledge and accept our capacity in the moment allows us to develop and progress without force or harm. This idea of development through self-awareness inspires all of her classes, and serves to deepen both the challenge and healing art of all yoga practice.
Her children’s classes focus on imagery, wiggle yoga and yoga games to inspire and delight young ones of all ages. Caro is known as a patient and passionate teacher, and loves to work with students from all backgrounds and all levels of practice.
Bec Conant
Yoga Instructor
Bec started practicing yoga in 1998 while pursuing a career in modern dance in New York. She taught yoga as a supplemental income to her dance career. When an ankle injury ended that career, Bec took the opportunity to dive more fully into her love of yoga and learn as much as she could (a task she continues to this day). She completed the teacher training program at Om Yoga in 2001, and immediately went on to get further certifications in restorative yoga as well as pre- and post-natal. Bec is also certified as a Birth Doula, by Doula of North America. Her experiences have shown her a deep connection between yoga and childbirth -- something she looks forward to exploring further.
Meghan Gardner, RYT
Yoga Instructor
Meghan initially turned to yoga for exercise and pain relief following a sports-related back injury in 1999, and soon found that the benefits of yoga go far beyond physical fitness. Her classes combine the vigorous rhythms of a vinyasa flow with a keen focus on the alignment within and between each posture. Emphasizing a balance between effort and surrender, working hard and letting go, within each practice, Meghan offers an energizing, challenging, fun (and sometimes even funny) experience to students of all levels.
Beth Grannan
Yoga Instructor
Beth received her 200-hour certification from YOGAspirit Studios in the summer of 2005. Having practiced various styles of yoga for the last six years, Beth finds that her practice brings clarity and strength to her life on and off the mat. Her teaching is influenced by the Iyengar and Anusara styles of yoga. She hopes to guide her students in a direction that will allow them to reach their highest potential.

Attention to meditation and pranayama make her classes focused and fluid, while a sense of humor keeps them infused with fun. Sara Kockanowski, LMT
Yoga Instructor
A chronic low back injury brought Sara to yoga, but after one week of "trying" a daily practice, she was permanently hooked. "Not only did I begin to heal and strengthen my body, but I found my yoga practice also addressed the needs of my mind and spirit. As I began to see the interrelatedness of my emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical states, my whole world view shifted. From a place of perceived alienation and depression I thought was "reality", I have come to find joy and a sense of being at home in myself and in the world.
Sara believes Yoga is a journey, not an end destination. Each pose begins with a first step that anyone can do, and each student is challenged to bring their practice a step further. Sara's classes are fun, challenging, and definitely all levels. If you can breathe, you can do yoga!
"My yoga classes and my life are deeply indebted to my trainings with David Vendetti in his first Body Awakening Teacher Training, and Ana Forrest in her Foundational Teacher Training. But just as deeply, my practice and classes reflect the love, laughter, and dedication of the broader yoga community. When you come to the studio, you'll see my teachers all around you."

Ame Wren
Yoga Instructor
Ame truly believes that yoga is a transformational journey. She encourages her students to find their own path on the mat and look inward for guidance. A philosopher at heart, Ame motivates her students to delve deeper into asana by trying new poses, and deeper into relaxation by honestly giving in to the mind and heart. A university teacher as well, Ame guides energetic, fun and challenging classes to help her students discover the joys of living in a detoxified yoga body. Ame thinks yoga can be an amazing addition to anyone’s life and does not need to be achieved or attained, just enjoyed. Ame supports her students in dancing on their edge but never going over it and she promises to always deliver laughter, sweat and good music while restoring and realigning her students. Ame’s formal Yoga Alliance training has been and continues to be with David Vendetti. She also counts among her inspirations and muses Seane Corn, Rolf Gates, Elizabeth Huntsman, Desiree Rumbaugh and Ana Forrest. Ame is continually moved by and grateful to all the yogis that have come before, and will inevitably come after her.
